This is great, encouraging and well written. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts and it is great to hear how they led you to enjoying your run. I wish I had such deep thoughts when running, usually I am just trying to get finished too, and I have never really enjoyed it. I started a farm about four years ago, and I would listen to podcasts or audio books when doing some of the more monotonous tasks. Then I realized I had gotten to where I was listening more and more, and missing out on the things that made me want to farm in the first place.

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I don’t listen to anything while doing farm work. It’s about taking in the entire experience!

Yea, maybe it’s my military background or just paranoia, but I would always keep an ear open. That image is incredible but I also see how it could hide predators and that is worrisome to me, not so much for myself but my wife or daughter who both like to run. I would make them take the Husky and Akita if they went out for a jog out there, not that the husky will do anything but that increases the pack size and that is a deterrent to the wild animals and savage people that might be lurking. I worry here, in Miami, if my wife or daughter go running….I have been surrounded by feral dogs here in the suburbs. Fortunately, I had two Rottweiler mixed breeds (with Chow and GSD) that helped me scare off the pack of ferals. However, the savage people are more cunning and determined, they are the scary ones. Again, could be me being paranoid or my exerpiences….be careful!!

Oh, having said that, I will show my wife the image, part of my information campaign to get her to move to Idaho! lol
